D. C. Masters was born and lived in
Rochester, New York until he retired from industry in 1995. He now
makes his home in coastal North Carolina.
He was instrumental
in organizing and nurturing the British Motor Club of Cape Fear and
is currently active in British car related events in the Carolinas
and surrounding states. He recently completed restoration of a 1955
Morgan which subsequently won "Best of Show" honors at the 2004
"Brits & Battleships" car show in Wilmington, NC.
Besides British cars,
and his family of course, his other passion is music. He plays
guitar and sings with several professional groups and choruses in
the Wilmington area.
He has been writing "How To"
articles and amusing short stories for club newsletters for the past
two and a half decades and "The Body Under the Bonnet" is his first
full length novel.
"I was beginning to become
frustrated that I couldn't find a novel that held my interest.", he
states. "So I decided to write something myself and threw in all
the things that I know about. People who have read the book seem to
like it so I guess I'll keep on writing more novels in the same
genre."
